LUGAYENI WEDDING

LUGAYENI WEDDING

17 SEPTEMBER 2016

The words that are still ringing in my head from this wedding, was when the MC announced that “this is an African wedding! And we will celebrate in African style” The room filled with guests dancing and singing in celebration of the newly weds was something spectacular to a part of. The love between Tebu & Sphe is so strong, you can see this from just the way that they look at each other. Even though it bucketed down in Durban just as Tebu was preparing to make her way to the ceremony, it definitely┬ádidn’t put a damper on the celebrations.

Angie VDH

Ang started her photography journey in 2012 when she was handed a camera to take some social snaps at a function and was hooked from then! Photography was something that had been in her life from a young age, with her great aunt being a member of the PSSA. Ang spent a few months with her aunt where she developed her skills and practiced photography as a hobby. After gaining some confidence she decided that this was definitely a path she wanted to take as a career and started investing in her camera gear and short courses whenever she could. In 2014 she took a leap of faith and photographed her first wedding and has never looked back since. Her photography business has slowly started to gain momentum and everything she does, she does with love.

When we chose Angelique as our photographer little did we know that she would be one of the biggest talking points of our wedding day! From the engagement shoot, us having never done any photo shoots before, she made us very comfortable in front of the camera, she is personable, direct and has a great eye for unique shots.

She calmed all our jitters on our wedding day with her warm smile, contagious excitement and verve for what she does. She talked us through what we needed to do at every step of the way and went over everything from hair to makeup to posing for photos on your big day. On the day of our wedding Ang was very punctual and proactive even as the rain relentlessly poured down she never ran out of ideas for amazing shots. Capturing every intimate moment and bringing it to life in her distinct photography style.

She worked very well with our guests, relational, friendly but not afraid to to take charge of our overbearing uncles when necessary. After the wedding, she kept sending us prompt teasers over the following couple of days ensuring that our excitement lingers throughout our days on honeymoon.

We are eternally grateful and proud of our choice. We cannot stop raving of her professionalism, personality and passion. She really is a gem! Looking forward to working with her many more times in the future.

I happened to meet Ang while she was shooting Siphelele and Tebogo’s engagement shoot. She is a very talented young lady with such a great personality and a beautiful smile.

Having her shoot the wedding was absolutely amazing. She shot some very special moments beautifully and I’m looking forward to seeing the rest of the pictures.

I recommend her for any event as she is an excellent photographer. Thank you Ang.
