What’s the fuss about branding?

So you might be asking, why the sudden change? Well, this is for more than one reason. Firstly, I recently got married and with that comes a change of name and so, Angelique Dippenaar is no more!

I thought that this would be the perfect opportunity to get creative and develop a brand for myself that I can relate to. Until now, Angelique Dippenaar Photography hasn’t quite had a personality or identity! I attended a workshop hosted by Jacki Bruniquel and although there was SO much I took away from the session… the big realization was when Jacki asked everyone “why do you love to shoot?”

For me… it’s that laughter from the belly, the huge grin on a grooms face when he sees his bride or when the lights go down and the music goes up and everyone has forgotten that there is a camera pointed at them! It’s those real raw moments that I love so much! In a world dominated by the “pout”… I just love it when I get the ear to ear smile from my clients! In the end, it’s LOVE & LAUGHTER that’s important to me and I can only hope that it reflects in the work that I do! Everything I do, I do with love and so, WITH LOVE ANG was born.

Working very closely with my very good friend Farran, we brainstormed ideas for this new look. As the weeks past, we started to see it come alive and I’m in love with the direction it has taken! We drew inspiration from the things that would reflect my own personality. Being a water baby, straight away I knew that I wanted to have some sort of water element.

I’m very excited to share this new brand with all of you and hope that you love it as much as I do!

“And so the adventure begins

Ang started her photography journey in 2012 when she was handed a camera to take some social snaps at a function and was hooked from then! Photography was something that had been in her life from a young age, with her great aunt being a member of the PSSA. Ang spent a few months with her aunt where she developed her skills and practiced photography as a hobby. After gaining some confidence she decided that this was definitely a path she wanted to take as a career and started investing in her camera gear and short courses whenever she could. In 2014 she took a leap of faith and photographed her first wedding and has never looked back since. Her photography business has slowly started to gain momentum and everything she does, she does with love.
