The Brummer wedding kicked off the start of 2021 for me. I was referred to the Brummer’s by a mutual friend. Doré and I started chatting over Whatsapp for a few weeks and we clicked immediately. She was funny and easy to talk to. It felt like talking to an old friend. But then I made a boo-boo… something I have NEVER done before! I missed our first meeting! I felt like a complete let down and was sure that she was about to drop me! But we rescheduled and I met them a few days later at their home in Toti.
After the awkward, I’m so sorry for being a complete ass and missing our appointment, we got chatting and I instantly fell in love with them both. They are down to earth people who welcomed me with open arms. We went over their love story and how they met, we spoke about life in general and touched on American politics, but let’s not go there. It was a done deal once they realized I wouldn’t repeat my last mistake again.
The wedding was held under these magnificent trees in a beautiful garden of a family friend. There are a few things that lockdown taught us that turned out to be for the better… smaller weddings was one of those things! Being forced to be selective of guests to be in line with “lockdown regulations”, means that only the very most important people make the cut. The Brummer wedding was intimate and perfect and I’m so happy that I was a part of it!
