I met Cindy through my husband. They had been in school together years ago. Her and Werner had started their planning and of course I asked for all the dreamy details! They were planning a small, intimate gathering with their closet friends and family. She mentioned that they weren’t going to have a photographer because they had set a very tight budget. I just couldn’t shake it because long after a wedding, the photos are really all you have to look back on. After chatting to my hubby, we decided to offer them my services at a rate within their budget. I’m so glad she agreed to it!
Cindy and Werner did a lot of the wedding work themselves and were literally pulling off finishing touches as guests were arriving. I even got my hands dirty and helped with table arrangements in between bridal shots. Not everything went as imagined, the weather was particularly stubborn. The venue had it’s own private access to the beach. But the wind was howling and there was an icy chill in the air. The new Coetzer’s braved the cold and pushed through. All in all, it was a good day!
