If Covid has you feeling like you’ve lost the plot a little… YOU ARE NOT ALONE! I had the first family lock down session this afternoon and it was exactly what I was expecting. Firstly, I just have to say how much I adore the Terblanche family. Kathy and Billy have been gracing my lens for a couple of years now and every time we get together, I almost don’t want it to end. They are salt of the earth kind of people. You can’t help but fall in love with the Terblanche family. Working from home with two kids is no easy feat! Trying to keep kids sane when they don’t understand what’s really going on is probably the challenge of the year. Weather you’re home schooling or not, every parent needs a medal for surviving this pandemic.
I arrived and we shared that weird, but now normal, I want to hug you but won’t hug you moment. (On a side note, I can’t wait to hug people again. Who else misses the simple comfort of a hug?) Once the weirdness was out the way, Kathy and I went and found Billy in the garden with the girls. Amber and Amelia then proceeded to enjoy “Dad’s favorite” treat with a tea party in the afternoon sun. I was educated that Chuckles are far more superior than Whispers. The tea party then turned into a round of hide and seek. The spaces that these girls can fit into was impressive. The excitement of having a visitor, combined with the sugar high… the hide and seek got very creative. See for yourself.
P.S Billy’s lockdown project was building an outdoor pizza oven by the pool. I hope I crack the invite when Covid is a thing of the past and we’re allowed to socialize again!
